and why did I immmediately think of this conversation in the Library:

"any of us or one of us?"

"but whoever is with the murderer might get killed!"

"THIS IS WAR, PEACOCK! You can NOT make an omelet without breaking eggs, any cook will tell you that."

"But look what happened to the cook!" (clenched jaw)

I am SO lame.

Love this!!! We should have had this hanging up at my old office where Jes used to work with me. It was how meetings usually went, an all-out struggle to appear intelligent in the face of great adversity! :)

Despair has some GREAT sayings! I love that site!~

I feel like "Meetings" speaks to most people in the work force. Despair is so spot-on. One day, I will buy the lithographs in bulk.

JLR - I printed out a bunch of these posters at work a few years ago and the secretary and I had a hayday posting them around our offices. Our boss did not see the humor in them so they were gone within minutes but you are bringing back fuzzy memories of happier times.

Katie--I used to hang the calendar on my wall of my office. Anytime one of the higher ups came by, they looked very startled by it, but I was never told to take it down.

Oh, and AM: that's one of my FAVORITE scenes in the movie. That, and "oh, who cares about that guy? Let him stay, locked up, for another half an hour! The police will be here, and there are two dead bodies in the study!"

"SHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Question: Are you and RR twins? I read Deals' blog and that's what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure.

JLR said...

Yep, we sure are.

Amstaff Mom said...

ohhhhhh. that explains it. I was SO confused on the DT/NDT thing. I don't think my hubby and his twin have a DT/NDT category. Maybe they're both DT.

I LOVE CLUE. That is one of my all time favorite movies to watch on a rainy afternoon.

JLR said...

Did you hear that AM and RR? She's one of us!

Katie, we are planning on having a Clue watching party at some point. You just made the invite list.

Amstaff Mom said...

We have another member!!!! RR/JLR, do y'all like the Anne of Green Gables series, b/c I know that KT and I had that one in common already, and now Clue too! WAHOO! I don't have Anne on DVD, but I do have Clue. We need to change "sometime" to a date and schedule our Clue-watching party. I don't mind having it at my place if you don't mind a drive North.

Katie said...

I'm so in the CLUE watching club. Name a time and place and I will be there.

"Too late."

I'm saying Sept. 10th. My cousin doesn't move out until the end of August, and it would be awkward with him there. August is the month of birthdays for my family, so can we wait until Sept.? Everybody free that day? If so, please pencil it in.

I will not require assumed names. Oh wait, we all HAVE assumed names. :) Unless Impatient Chicken is your REAL name.

You know what I just thought of? Every Halloween, RR and I try to get people to dress u with us as characters from Clue. We can never find people who are willing. Anyone? Anyone?

Dibs on Miss Scarlett; RR claims Miss White (or is it Miss Peacock?). But there can always be more than one, and one can be from the board game, one from the movie, one from the computer game, etc.

NOT Col. Mustard. I can NOT wear that color, or I will look like warmed-over death. I don't have anything green ( a problem for St. Patrick's Day) That leaves me with Prof. Plum. Fun. I would never be confused w/ Yvette. Not even close.
