Steve's Nervous Song

After the round of comments on my last post, I decided to take AM's cue and translate steve's song, Easy (Like Sunday Morning). I can't decide which part is my favorite.

The translation sequence is: English to German, German to French, French to English.

Easy Like Sunday Morning (Simple Simple Morning)

Do you know resound merry, me the girl pain being donot can however precisely which I seem itself you girl leaves tomorrow, know you that I can see you all me me asked, and borrow I made of Stola of Ooh who is,

why I am me simply that in the morning of Sunday am simple which is, why me me is simply that mornings of Sunday is simple,

why in the world each chain balanced on me became? I paid my rights, to form them, wishes of Everbody me to be, which they do not wish his me me are fortunately, if I try to falsify! Not! Ooh, this, why I I simple that the simple morning, which, why I I simple that the simple morning, which I to want high, therefore high it to want I free knowledge, which the thing I, right I free right to want I, baby!

this, why I I simple that the simple morning, which, why I I simple that simple morning,
because I like simple simple morning,
because I like simple simple morning

We lost the "therefore" by going English to German first, instead of English to French. Oh well.

I thought I knew that song pretty well, but I'm not EVEN getting the lyrics now. They are "lost in translation".

Too bad I have the same two lines of the chorus stuck in my head. (All morning). I read your comments before 7am this morning. (sad, I know) It's now after 10am, and they're STILL in my head. Oh the pain.

So... are you simple? Or is Sunday Morning Simple?

lol

Ben: to quote from the song--Not! ;)

P&W: thanks for stopping by!

AM: That song does tend to get stuck in one's head. I think it has become my "default song"--you know, the song that just randomly gets stuck in your head. It used to be Elvis's "In the Ghetto," which I did NOT appreciate. I think this song tooks it's place. I had finally gotten it out of my head, and now it's back.

I don't know "In the Ghetto" My mind did, however, think of "In the Jungle" which is now in my head instead. Even WORSE. Ohhhh.

why don't i know this wong?

why does p&w have a mugshot for a picture? where is the little ruler that goes by the side of her head? where is her profile?

Amanda Sue said...

SONG! not wong.

what is wong with me?

Man, you beat me to it, AS! Rats.

Yep, JLR you are PRICELESS.

My "Happy Thoughts" daily calendar lists

"The music of your soul" as a happy thought for today. I think that is perfect for this last conversation thread.

Ha ha

HAHA! That's a good one.

I SO have Welcome to the Jungle in my head now. Not that I could actually sing it, but it's in my head. Thanks K-T. You saved me from a "fate worse than death."

"What are you scared of, a fate worse than death?"

"No, just death, isn't that enough?"

The way I see it, this could be anywhere from truly enlightening to completely pointless and stupid.

I love her voice during that quote. All husky, smoky, and depressed. Her hat all limp.

JLR said...

hmm. Strange things are afoot at the Circle K.

I'm voting for "truly enlightening."

JLR said...

AM: Yes, the hat! The hat just makes the movie.

Read out of context, this post is so confusing ! Welcome to the googling club, the club of people who do crazy stuff for fun ! It is funny though...

does anyone else find it slightly wrong that "Beaver" has a blog called "Beaver Pics"? Is that to get more hits?

(forgive me Lord)

JLR said...

steve: bad, steve!

I hate to say it, but I was actually afraid to look at it there for a minute.

thebeav: I think even read in context, the post is confusing. But I think it made sense to most of us. Or maybe that's just me.

Amstaff Mom said...

It makes sense to me too. Probably b/c I keep commenting, over and over again.
